We are currently hiring for:

Tour Guide

Your responsibility as a tour guide will be leading groups of up to 16 travellers on trips with a duration of one or more weeks through Western Canada, USA, Mexico & Central America. Our season starts in May and finishes in the fall.

Responsibilities include:

  • Day-to-day operations of our trips, according to itinerary and budget
  • Maintain consistently high levels of customer service to our guests
  • Facilitating hotel check ins, camp set up and cooking
  • Commentary on places visited and landscapes encountered

Requirements:

  • Customer service experience
  • Well travelled and enjoy the outdoors
  • Basic computer skills including Email, Word and Excel
  • Fluency in English mandatory and at least one other language is preferred
  • Legal ability to work in country of trip origin
  • All applicants must have a valid first aid certificate or be willing to acquire one
  • All applicants must have a valid food safe certificate or be willing to acquire one
  • All applicants must have or, be willing and able, to acquire a Class 4 or better drivers licence
  • Participation in West Adventures training program

Tour Driver

Your responsibility as a tour driver will be safely transporting our groups of up to 16 travellers on trips with a duration of one to three weeks through Western Canada and the USA. Our season starts in May and finishes in the fall.

Responsibilities include:

  • To transport our passengers on their trip in a safe and courteous manner.
  • To operate the bus in accordance with all laws and regulations.
  • To carry out pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
  • To practice safe driving techniques at all times.
  • To back up the Group Leader in the day-to-day operations of our trips according to itinerary
  • To maintain consistently high levels of customer service to our guests
  • To assist with hotel check ins, camp set up and cooking when needed

Requirements:

  • Customer Service Experience
  • The ideal candidate will have Class 2 or 4-unrestricted license permitting the operation of a multi passenger van/bus.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Professional demeanour with a positive and cooperative attitude.
  • Must be punctual and reliable.
  • Well travelled and enjoys the outdoors
  • Basic computer skills including Email, Word and Excel
  • Fluency in English mandatory and at least one other language is preferred
  • Legal ability to work in Canada
